Embracing Diversity

You can get the most out of ADHD Skills Coaching when you feel safe and accepted, so I want this environment to feel that way for you.

Some Uncomfortable Truths

Racism, Misogyny, Homophobia, Transphobia, and other oppressive prejudices are pervasive in America. Many people have felt emboldened to be even more vocal about their prejudiced views since the 2016 election. White supremacy appears to be getting even louder and more visible.

As a white, cisgender, heterosexual man, I cannot claim to know firsthand how unsafe and unseen many people are feeling in our country right now. However, the topics of prejudice and bias are very important to me, and I actively advocate for diversity and acceptance in my community.

This sign can be found in noticeable spots on my website, social media profiles, emails, and in my Zoom backdrop. It serves as a welcome to people in BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities, reminding them that they are safe and welcome here.

NOTE: If you do not like this sign and its message, please find a different ADHD Skills Coach.

 Secular ADHD Skills Coaching

As a secular ADHD Skills Coach, I do not bring religion or spirituality into sessions. I can meet you where you're at on spirituality and religion. I will not push any spiritual or religious approaches to coaching.

In our present society, some people who claim to want religious "freedom" (for themselves but not for others) are getting louder and bolder about this, and they seem to be even more outspoken in spreading hate under the guise of religious teaching. While people should have the right to practice their religion, they should not be using this to oppress others.
